Finorex 20 contains the active ingredient finerenone. It belongs to a class of drugs known as non-steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor (MR) antagonists. It is indicated to reduce the risk of sustained eGFR decline, end-stage kidney disease, cardiovascular death, non-fatal myocardial infarction, and hospitalization for heart failure in adult patients with chronic kidney disease associated with type 2 diabetes. Finorex 20 also lowered the occurrence of new-onset heart failure considerably. It acts by inhibiting the function of specific hormones (mineralocorticoids) that might cause kidney and cardiac damage.

Finorex 20 is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless clearly necessary. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Women of childbearing potential should use a reliable contraceptive method to prevent pregnancy while on this medication.

Finerenone, the active ingredient, is a selective nonsteroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist. It blocks the effects of aldosterone, which helps in reducing kidney damage and controlling blood pressure.
Starting Dose:
Dose Adjustment: Increase dosage to 20 mg once daily after 4 weeks based on eGFR and serum potassium levels. Monitor serum potassium levels regularly.
You should never miss a dose of this medicine. Take the missed dose as soon as possible. Do not take two doses of this medicine to compensate for the missed dose.

Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice as long as you take Finorex 20, as it could lead to unpleasant side effects caused by to overdose of finerenone.
